It is time to turn the town pink

Résistant Wayne will be festooned with brown ribbons today as part of a month-long campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer with money for research.

Vera Bradley cell phone case employees and volunteers will display pink bows throughout Headwaters Park your car, downtown and participating neighborhoods included in the "Turn the Town Pink" campaign financed by the Vera Bradley Foundation over Breast Cancer.

Since 1998, the local history has donated more than $23 capacité to support 22 labs and thirty five researchers and clinicians who are functioning to find drug therapies to argue breast cancer.

The nonprofit raises currency several ways.

It sponsors the main annual Vera Bradley iPhone cases Foundation Customary, billed as the largest women's sexcam golf and tennis charity incident in the country. This will be the sporting events' 22nd year.

Combined with the pink frills campaign, the events raise more than one million dollars each year to support breast cancer research within the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center in Bring on, a nationally ranked cancer cardiovascular system.

Vera Bradley Inc. also contributes $1 million each year.

Increasing breast cancer recognition has become a community effort in recent years. Light red lights have illuminated the Martin Luther King Bridge and the History Old town.

For the fourth straight year, a huge pink flag will fly earlier mentioned Historic Fort Wayne.
